Dental Bonding in Ottawa
At Ottawa Dentistry, our dentists use dental bonding to help repair damaged or discoloured teeth.
What is Dental Bonding?
Dental bonding is a cosmetic procedure where your dentist applies tooth-coloured resin to a damaged, decayed or discoloured natural tooth to give you a more even smile.
Reasons for Dental Bonding
Dental bonding is often recommended to improve the appearance of a tooth, including to:
- Fill a cavity and restore a decayed tooth
- Fix a discoloured or misshapen tooth
- Repair a chip or crack
- Close a gap between teeth
- Protect an exposed tooth root
Dental Bonding in Ottawa: Our Procedure
During the bonding procedure, a composite resin is applied to the tooth using a high-intensity light.
Once the resin is applied, the bonded resin is shaped and polished to match your natural teeth.
This procedure takes about 30 to 60 minutes per tooth to complete.
