What is VELscope?
VELscope is a hand-held, wireless oral screening device that uses fluorescence visualization technology. It allows dentists to identify oral abnormalities like cancerous and pre-cancerous lesions, which can be difficult to detect with the naked eye.
Oral Cancer Screening
Oral cancer is a disease resulting from abnormal cell growth in the mouth, lips, tongue or throat. If caught early enough, oral cancer can be treated successfully.
